Darspec inspects and certifies all newly installed or existing backflow prevention devices of verifiable type, in order to guarantee their operation and compliance with current standards.
We provide a detailed certification report for each of the certified devices. We make recommendations to improve the compliance of your facilities. We prepare an inventory that, in one page, provides all the relevant information about your backflow preventer devices.
The certifications are conducted by our team of experts accredited by AWWA as backflow preventer device verifiers. The work carried out meets the requirements of the Canadian standard CSA B64.10.1-17 – Maintenance and field testing of backflow preventer devices.
The Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) also relies on this standard to establish the obligations incumbent on building owners for the entire province in terms of preventing backflow in plumbing networks.
